Huddle House is the host of family and friends, brought together by good food served from the heart for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. From our first restaurant that opened nearly 60 years ago in Decatur, Georgia to each community we operate in today, that’s the simple idea that brings us together every day.
We’re a neighborhood diner that makes every meal fresh, hot, and cooked-to-order, whenever you want it.
Hoppy Trout Brewing Company is a brewpub located in Andrews, NC. We opened New Year’s Day of 2016, so we were literally the first brewery to open in NC in 2016. All our beer is brewed on premise which we sell in our pub with some self distribution in immediate area. We brew 1 BBL(barrel) batches at a time, 31 gallons, which classifies us as a nano brewery. We also offer a full-service pizza restaurant featuring a handmade Sicilian style brick oven.
The small batch approach to beer production allows us to take risks with flavors. We are constantly rotating our tap list with new experimental beers as well as maintaining a few flagships we try to always keep on tap. There is nothing we won’t put in beer. We have used the hottest peppers in the world, Himalayan sea salt, and even cake batter. We do our best to source local ingredients when available. We give a local farmer all our spent grain to feed his pigs.
Granieri’s Italian Restaurant is currently located at 983 Main St, Andrews, NC 28901. Order your favorite pizza, pasta, salad, and more, all with the click of a button. Granieri’s Italian Restaurant accepts orders online for pickup and delivery.
Amazing food! Best smoked turkey and chicken I’ve had in a long time! Pork is great too. You Definitely won’t be disappointed eating here. Great service as well. I highly recommend this place
In the most surprising of places you find the most surprising of things. In the charming mountain town of Andrews, North Carolina, nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and guarding the entrance to the Nantahala Gorge, is the town’s first jail. It’s an old rock structure known as a Calaboose, and it is haunted with spirits. Heavenly craft-brewed beer and wine, to be exact.
Fast-food chain serving fried chicken, big burgers & made-from-scratch breakfast biscuits.

Begin with a trendy location just 10 minutes from asheville, north carolina. Stir in a whimsical blend of artifacts and artful spaces. Top it off with owners who bring tremendous heart and skill to the table, treating you more like family than guests. Garnish with smiles all around. Reservations are recommended. In 1955, two Georgia neighbors opened up a restaurant that would change the world. Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner were living in Avondale Estates, GA, when they decided to open a 24-hour, sit-down restaurant for their friends and neighbors, focused on people on both sides of the counter. That first restaurant opened the door to create the Waffle House brand that you see today.
As this movement began to expand, new restaurants were built in Georgia as well as neighboring states, and the “Yellow Sign” soon became a familiar landmark along city streets and interstate highways across the country. Today, the Waffle House system is more than 1,900 locations in 25 states. All open 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
But more than that, Waffle House has always been about the people Joe and Tom cared about in 1955 – our Associates and Customers. Waffle House was founded on the principals of providing the friendliest service in town, while also offering the opportunity for rewarding and quality careers. Today, Waffle House continues to provide great career opportunities for more than 40,000 Associates. These Associates are “Waffle House” to their Customers. They provide their Customers with a unique experience that keeps them coming back for more.
Whether you are a Waffle House Regular, or this is your first time experiencing our restaurant, we welcome you with open arms. You are now a part of our Waffle House Family!
“We aren’t in the food business. We’re in the people business.” – Joe Rogers, Sr.

Before we packed up and left our home in New York, we had been head chefs at two of the highest-rated restaurants in the Hamptons on the eastern end of Long Island, Robert’s in Watermill and World Pie in Bridgehampton. Yet, all the while that we were running our respective kitchens, we kept a small fire burning for the dream of opening our own idea of a great restaurant someday. Our plan was to find the most promising, picturesque town in the country, where the people were varied, smart, good-looking, and hungry for the kind of genuine culinary thing we do.
Hello, Weaverville.
If you recall, 2012 wasn’t the greatest year for risky business moves. Back then, our hope was simply to survive. But, in fact, we flourished. And you made it happen.
Whether you are local or just visiting, a weekly regular or an occasional diner, we thank you for your patronage. We also salute the unique community of area farmers and artisans who supply us with the freshest local ingredients–all the sustainable essentials needed to keep Glass Onion fulfilling the promise we made to customers from the start: To provide simple, delicious meals (lunch & dinner), made strictly with the freshest, prime-quality ingredients, expertly prepared (that’s us), promptly served, and courteously priced.
Buon Appetito.

Maggie B’s is Weaverville’s first ever wine and specialty food store. But, despite what most people think, Maggie B is not the owner. She is actually Elspeth and Andy’s 13-year old, yellow Labrador retriever. In her honor, we do offer dog parking outside, refreshments (water bowl), and doggie treats. So, if you’re just walking around downtown Weaverville, or getting ready to take your pooch on a hike, stop in and grab some treats for yourself and your four legged friend!
Maggie B’s sells wine, beer, meats, cheeses, wine accessories, and a little of everything else. Sandwiches, salads, soup, and small plates are offered daily. They also offer a great selection of wine and beer by the glass. We carry wines from smaller vineyards that you are not going to find at the grocery store. The wines are from all over the world: South Africa, Argentina, France, New Zealand, and more. You will also find a wide selection of organic wines, which can be beneficial for people who have problems with the preservatives in wine.
In our deli cooler we have Sunburst Trout dip, Jalapeno Pimento cheese, and deli meats. Our cheeses consist of items such as triple cream bries, Aged Gouda, Parmigiano Reggiano, and a wide variety of local selections. We are a full service cheese counter, so how ever much you need we can cut it.
Maggie B’s also offers gift certificates, gift baskets, and shipping!
Don’t forget, we offer free wine and beer tastings every week. Our tastings are informative, fun, and non-intimidating. Our customers enjoy our tastings because they feel comfortable in a place where usually you will see someone you know, or meet someone new!

And in 1977, their dream became a reality in the form of the first Bojangles’ restaurant in Charlotte, NC.

Okie Dokies Smokehouse is a good ole bbq and rib joint where you can still get a great home cooked meal without breaking the bank.
It all started back in 1999 when we began working out of a little red trailer serving bbq at local festivals, on the roadside, and for private parties.
Over the next eight years, we just kept growing and growing until we realized we needed something bigger than our little red trailer.
Maybe you’ve seen us at places like
Shindig on the Green, the Lake Eden Arts Festival, Downtown after 5 or one of the many other local festivals around town.
Maybe you saw us on WLOS News 13 Carolina Kitchen sharing some of our secrets!
Or maybe, you read how Citizen-Times correspondant Rick McDaniel said Okie Dokies has some of the best bbq and ribs you’ll find around these parts.
Our Swannanoa place is the talk of the town!
And our little red trailer is back on the road again in Candler and Burnsville with expansion in mind!
Wherever you see us, make sure you stop for some award winning bbq and say Hey!
Come on out to our place for some

A restaurant inside a house? Yes! We are located inside a charming old house that was built in 1904. We have kept everything original to the house as much as possible, which means our space is very unique and smaller than most restaurants you’ve probably been to – our kitchen is smaller than most residential kitchens! With such limited space, we run things a bit differently to be sure that you have a great time here! We are counter-service with waitstaff, so you order and pay at the counter BEFORE finding a table where we will serve you! Having everyone order and pay first means that our limited number of tables are not held up waiting for orders to be taken or checks to be brought out, so even if we are very busy, there WILL be a table available by the time you have ordered. Operating this way, it is very rare that we should ever have to wait for a table to open. For this reason we ask that you please do not reserve tables while the rest of your party is in line.

Kilwin’s Chocolates, Fudge & Ice Cream opened in Black Mountain in May 2009 by Tom and Marcy Gallagher. This old-fashioned one-top confectionary shop has something for everyone: 8 flavors of hand-paddled fudge, 3 kinds of caramel corn, 3 kinds of brittle, chocolate-dipped treats, fine chocolates, caramel apples, pralines, gift boxes, sugar-free candy, cold and hot beverages, and 28 flavors of Original Recipe Ice Cream.
Many of these confections are made right in the store, and customers love watching the cook create them! You can get sundaes, malts, milkshakes, sodas and floats made from some of the best ice cream you’ve ever tasted! There’s also two flavors of sorbetto (a non-dairy ice cream treat), and a no-sugar-added ice cream.
Try a sample of the hand-paddled Mackinac Island Fudge or ice cream to help you choose your favorite flavor! Gift-giving is easy, with many choices and price points available.
Friendly staff, quality confections and a great selection all add up to a fun time at Kilwin’s!
We think the world is a better place with wings, a burger cooked to the right temperature, and a sandwich with house-made “anything they can think of” in it. Yes, the salads are good too. But it’s all about the rejuvenation of creativity and the soothing comfort that food provides when it’s made with the best intentions.
It was 2010, and the bar where I worked in Black Mountain was closing. The hardest part about it was not that I was losing a job; it was that I was losing my community gathering spot. My belief is that, above all else, community is what gives humans a sense of belonging and well-being, which leads to a solid sense of self. Community is what makes us whole. An important concept in urban design is what is known as the “Third Place.” Healthy communities are composed of First, Second, and Third Places. The First Place is your home — where you lay your head at night. The Second Place is your workplace — where you do the things you do. And the Third Place is where you form connections with others — where you can express your dreams, your thoughts, and your ideas with like-minded people. It is an anchoring spot for the community. For communities to be strong and healthy, the Third Place is vital.
Third Places are where people go because they know they will feel a sense of connection. In 2010, I was losing my Third Place. And I said to myself, “Well, if my community is losing a gathering place, I’m going to bring it back.” The Black Mountain Ale House opened on Feb 4, 2011. It was a bar built around community.
That community remains at the forefront. We have continued to grow around it, literally and figuratively, bringing in a larger kitchen and introducing a stronger variety of food offerings. Now renamed Black Mountain Kitchen + Ale House, we are a restaurant and bar — built around community.
The key ingredient to the menu is the table; not necessarily what’s on the plate. That’s why “kitchen” is such a fundamental word. The kitchen is the place that produces food to feed the body and delight the senses. The company is the reason for the kitchen in the first place.
Our guiding philosophy remains the same as it was back in February 2011: to provide a sense of community and belonging to every person who walks through the door. Some of the most meaningful life experiences happen in a conversation over a pint of beer or around a table breaking bread with others. Whether you’re having a beer with a friend or celebrating a special experience, or you’re here by yourself just to sit at the bar and be part of a community, we want you to feel like you’ve found your Third Place.

Cousins Cuban Cafe serves authentic Cuban cuisine and coffee to the Black Mountain community and all those that visit our beautiful town. We welcome all to experience a taste of what Cuban culture is all about–flavorful dishes, strong coffee, great conversations and where friends become part of our family. Bienvendios!
Our parents were born and raised in Cuba and unfortunately had to flee their beautiful homeland in 1960 when Castro’s communist regime came into power. They instilled in us their love for their Cuban culture and all that it encompassed–food, music, history, family.
As cousins, we grew up together in Miami, Florida enjoying our Cuban heritage. Destiny brought us all to North Carolina along with our desire to share this delicious and deeply loved cuisine with you. We are using family recipes that have been passed down through many generations.
The Café is more than a business to us–it is a tribute to our family members that cherished their Cuban culture and taught us what family & love is all about.
Mac’s Burgers and Cheesesteaks is about serving delicious and fresh, hand-made burgers, freshly grilled cheesesteaks with delicious sides.
Just about everyone loves a burger, but what makes a truly great burger is subjective. Some people prefer a classic griddled thin patty, others settle for nothing less than a gourmet cheeseburger on brioche. We take the stand that no one’s wrong in this fight — at Mac’s you find generous handcrafted hamburgers and cheeseburgers that come in any number of combinations, including the Mac Burger topped with chili, cheese and slaw.
It feels these days that we are in a constant state of hurry. Almost every facet of our culture has an expedited version of it. We can buy shoes online and they arrive next day. Download a book instantaneously. Bills can be viewed and paid (or ignored) with the click of a button. Order a cheeseburger from a person on the other side of a machine and it’s ready in under two minutes (if the line is short enough). There are few aspects of our lives that have been untouched by this ever-present supply of immediate gratification.
So it is no great mystery that BBQ, the ritual of cooking with fire and smoke, is such a highly sought-after prize. It is the driving source of endless competitions, timeless arguments over what is right and what is wrong, and innumerable quests to find the “very best version.” It is a simple matter, putting a metal box or grate over some fire and letting smoke do its work. But there is more to bbq than just cooking meat. Wherever one finds it, behind that pulled pork, sliced brisket, and blistered sausages is a preparation that requires time, patience, and a tremendous amount of love. BBQ is untouched by the hurry of the world. Since the discovery of fire from our ancestors on down, very little has been touched and, as is the case with the best of it, the tradition has not been touched at all. What was once necessity has become the ultimate luxury. One can sit down at a bar or outside a shack or in their very own homes and enjoy a feast that took half a day to cook, a week to prepare, and a millennium to perfect.
Combining fire and smoke with the very best ingredients the vast American landscape has to offer is time well spent. We believe that true hospitality begins with inviting strangers to sit around a fire, true cooking requires love, and the truest and very best things in life are still worth waiting for.
Black Mountain NC breakfast and lunch
A place to drink, dance, and eat, Guinguettes were a popular social gathering spot in 19th and 20th century Parisian suburbs.
We aim to continue this tradition here in Black Mountain, serving a unique combination of authentic French and Latin cuisine in a warm and worldly atmosphere.
Our made from scratch dishes source primarily local and organic ingredients and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Bon appétit!
From obtaining our food products to hand-kneading dough, making bread daily and offering fresh food options, we focus on the ritual of taking life from the world around us and presenting it to you. This ritual of nourishment from farm to table is one that all Americans took part in until about 75 years ago.
To honor this tradition we follow a few simple rules as we prepare food for you. Whenever we can, we buy locally-grown, seasonal, organic produce and meats. We use farmers and farm cooperatives or family-run operations as our primary suppliers for our flowers, vegetables, fruits and herbs. We use feta and goat cheese from local creameries, brew Dynamite Roasting Company Coffee and carry local microbrews from around our region. We have a large garden that supplies us seasonally with fresh basil, edible flowers and herbs as well as greens, peppers, root vegetables and other produce. Every day we make homemade soups and breads for the day. You’ll also find homemade daily desserts from our FRESH chef’s and local confectioners’ creations. Each weekend we feature FRESH specials that highlight seasonal offerings from our local food purveyors and unique flavors of our chef’s culinary creativity.
At FRESH we offer an alternative to the processed food delivery system that has become the staple of the modern diet. Here, you will sit down to eat a meal together in the tradition of our parents and grandparents and taste the difference of food that is grown, artfully prepared and served by people who live right here and are part of our community.
Japanese street food and Astro and bubble teaBlack Mountain, NC
konnichiwa was born of a desire to bring customers a taste of modern-day Japanese street food. We want people to think outside the bento box, try cultural favorites that are being served at the hottest corner spots in Tokyo. Or, make your meal the way you want it, using the Creation Station format to construct a custom dish of your liking. You can look forward to a continuously expanding menu along with limited time specials that will allow us to flex our culinary muscles.
In addition to serving our Japanese street cuisine we would also like to introduce Astro Tea, our full-service bubble tea bar with an astronomical number of flavor combinations and mixtures.

From our humble beginnings in 2012 as beer lovers with a home brew setup, some mason jars, and a lot of zany friends, a culture of absolute foolery and serious chillness grew. These days, we brew for fun and we brew for our community, and along the way we end up producing totally outstanding craft beer that we’re proud to share with you.
We are Nano brewers having fun and making great beers – one small batch at a time.
Small batch craft brews made with love here on the front porch of Western North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Our little city in the clouds expects a lot out of our beer. In order to make sure we produce the best, we constantly experiment and explore new styles and perspectives. With creativity and tradition combined, we are working to bring you the tastes of a finely honed craft.
The Bush Farmhouse plays hopscotch with South African flavors, cuisine and drink. So what exactly is that? Well, like America, South Africa is a nation of immigrants. Europeans borrowed from, blended with local African cuisines, and vice versa. It’s glorious, flavorful cooking – made for lively tables, sharing and good cheer.

Hatched as a grand idea between sets at a late night gig, musicians and former band mates Andy Gibbon and Josh Gibbs decided they should provide the Asheville area with truly delicious, locally roasted, organic coffee.
After rolling up their sleeves and hammering out a solid plan, they settled on the cozy, yet world-class town of Black Mountain, North Carolina as their base of operations. From their coffee bar/roasting facility set up in an incredibly inviting 1950’s craftsman style home, they are now making their coffee available to the world!
